Limerick based design consultancy specializing in Structural, Civil and Mechanical design work and Project Management for various clients across wide spectrum of industry requires a Senior CAD / BIM Modeller / Detailer for it's Limerick office and various sites as required.
3D CAD / BIM Modeller / Detailer Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain all project CAD and BIM libraries,
- Management of project CAD files, drawing registers and issue sheets
- Ability to carry out on site 3D Scanning using latest 3D scanning equipment and associated software
- Transfer scanned data (point clouds) to various file formats as required (Tekla, Revit, Plant 3D, MEP etc.)
- Producing 3D models from scanned data or client supplied information
- Production of IFC Fabrication drawings and associated packages
- Proficient in some or all of the following: Revit, Navisworks, Tekla, Inventor, Plant 3D
- Proficient with use of Autodesk Construction Cloud (Forma) and associated addin packages
- Producing 2D installation and co-ordination drawings
- Taking instructions from Engineers/Project Team and producing drawings with limited supervision or direction.
- Ensure models / documentation is developed in line with company BIM protocols and procedures
- Adhere to BIM Execution Plan and BIM project workflow criteria. (Trimble Connect, ACC (Forma), Dalux etc)
- Attending regular project and coordination meetings
- Coordinating with external contractors and consultants
Requirements:
- Relevant Qualification in BIM or Engineering (min 4-5 years)
- Experience with on site 3D scanning
- Experience with Revit, Navisworks, Tekla, Inventor, Plant 3D
- Knowledge of Structural, Mechanical & HVAC Contracting / Construction projects
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability effectively engage with different personality types
- In-depth working knowledge of current Autodesk Construction Cloud (Forma)
- Excellent literacy, numeric and IT skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office packages
- Self-motivated, conscientious and capable of working to deadlines.
- Interested in taking a position of responsibility .
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work on own initiative.
- Must be fluent in oral & written English and possess a current Irish / EU Work Permit.
